I hope everyone had a restfull weekend. I had to go to the other side of the state to get my big suitcase and luggage scale from my daughter. I can't believe that I'm going to see my honey soon!!! And of course, the interview!!! But, again, I am not letting myself get worked up for the interview. I know Cairo isn't going to be handing him a visa as soon as it is over as much as I wish and pray!!!:blush:

My weekend was filled with waitting for the work week to start so NVC can finish my case Inshallah lol.

You must be excited less then a month left!

Yeah, I am excited but a little frustrated too. My husband called me on Friday all gunned ho to go and get his medical done this coming Monday when I reminded him that Monday is a holiday in Egypt, so the doctor's office and definitely the Embassy is closed on Monday so why don't he wait until Tuesday to go..Well, I guess he thought about it this weekend and decided to wait to go get it done!!! Well I would have been the first one in line to get the medical done as soon as I had the dog gone interview email!!!:angry: Ok, so I have convince him that next week he HAS to go!! I know he doesn't like the train ride, it's long and uncomfortable!!:blush:

Should we expect a major slowdown at NVC because of the Haiti disaster?

Just curious and I want to manage my expectations...

You know, I kind of expect that, but so far this past Friday and this weekend, apparently there has definitely been movement through there!!!:thumbs:

I don't think that it will be a slow down at the NVC, but I would think it will be in the USCIS!!!:whistle:

Yah i heard that USCIS is slowing down. But not NVC, people are still moving along. And i know some people who are still getting case completes and Interview date.

Thank you very much, MQ!! :star:

Well, that dose not mean it not there. Till today the AVR ladys tell me its not on file yet. when clearly it is haha. i spent longer then a weeks calling the AVR to see if they got my case with nothing till i called and spoke with an NVC "live" person and they told me its been there for a while lol.

Seriously? Wow, thanks for that info lol.

BTW, when you guys call the,, do you just ask dimply ask them if there's a case # on file for your visa? Reason I asked is I called last week and a lady acted a bit surprise that Im calling to find out a few days after I got the NOA2 notification.

She said it takes 90 days before a case # is provided. I said I filed for a I-130 and she advised, yup normally it takes 90 days. I did'nt argue but I feel like telling her, that's waaaaayyy off :crying:

So I guess the consensus here is start calling at least a week after an NOA2 notification is received?

Same thing happened to me... it look exactly 7 days for me from I130 approval to NVC case number assigned.

Keep calling after 7 days and once you got the NVC case number, provide them email addresses.

You can see my timing in my signature.
