This is from the website under Police Records.

Israeli police certificates are available for citizens and residents of Israel as well as nonresidents. Police certificates may be requested at any Israeli police station. They are sent directly to the U.S. Embassy. Former residents residing outside of Israel should apply in person at an Israeli consular or diplomatic mission.

So I think he will be fine.

Please let me know about this...

Hi Deep2009,

India applicant does require 2 police certificates; 1 from Local/District Police Office and 2 from Local Passport Office.

I suggest you get the police certificate from the Passport Office first because once you get Passport PCC, you can show that to your Local/District Police Office and they will give you Local/District PCC fast in like 2 to 3 days hopefully.

I also suggest you wait for the NOA2 to arrive in mail before stating the PCC process.

Take a look at the link below. Hope it helps. Scroll down to Police Records.

It sounds like you have your problem resolved, but just FYI, I believe that Palestine is not recognized as a sovereign state by the US, and nor do I think there is any special diplomatic relationship between it and the US. It seems unlikely to me that any US government agency would want/accept a Police Certificate or any other official documents from a state that they don't acknowledge as being in existence.

THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION "Inzango"

I went to the state department website, here is the info there for "Police Records"

Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:

* All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police certificates from the local Passport Office. These are usually more dependable than those obtained at a local level and indicate that the subject had no serious criminal convictions on record at the time of passport issuance. Applicants whose Indian passport was issued within the past six months may present just the Passport Office Police Certificate, and need not obtain additional police clearances.

* Applicants over age 16, whose passports were issued more than six months previous to visa application, must also obtain a police clearance from the District Police Office serving the applicant's place of residence.

QUESTION - My wife passport police verification was done on end of Nov 2009, now, waiting for the passport.

I don't thing we need the any additional PCCs. But I heard that sometimes, document processing people in embassy just reject the file due to missing PCC from district police office.

Any one has experienced this, please add your valuable comments or suggestions.

Hi Deep2009,

You welcome. If your wife recieved her passport within the 6 months, then you only need Passport PCC as stated on the website. Now, if her city provides the District PCC, I think she should get it just incase. But there shouldn't be any problem with only Passport PCC.

With my wife's case, she only got Passport PCC since her passport is less than 6 months old. She lives in Gujarat and when she went to get District PCC, they said they no longer provide District PCC.

In conclusion, if your wife can obtain District PCC even though it's not required since her passport is less than 6 months old, she should get it.

Good luck.
