Hi guys,

Just a couple questions. My fiance and I got married yesterday (yay) and I am now filling out our I-485 form. Already I'm running into a couple problems. Firstly, I've looked everywhere on his passport, and I can't seem to find an I-94 number. Is this applicable to Canadians crossing the border, or am I just massively blind? Secondly, he doesn't have a US social security number. Am I missing something here? Was he issued it or do we have to apply for one before we fill out the I-485? Any help would be fantastic. Thank you!

I-94 is stapled to his passport on the page oposite the visa stamp.

SSN is his job to go apply for one.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

So does he have to have an SSN in order to apply for our I-485? Also, where do I look for his nonimmigrant visa number???

no he doesnt put N/A in that slot.

visa number is on the NOA2 or on the visa stamp itself listed as A# under the annotation section.

edit

unless you mean the actual stamp number?

the actual stamp number is 8 numbers in red ink on the right side of the visa stamp.

2nd post.

Number next to his name on the NOA2 is his alien #.

Red number on the visa itself is the non immigrant visa #.
