And that's great that you (Mods) have recognized it to be racist. But it is still racist, and still up for the whole world to see. If that's the image that VJ is willing to portray to the world then so be it, not my site. I have had my posts edited and deleted before too, why was this comment left after the Mod had made a statement against racist comments?

as for my home, it's a farmhouse with attendent buildings on respectable acreage between baltimore and harrisburg on the "I-83 corridor”。 so it's value is considerable. my current liquid assets are more than sufficient to eliminate the mortgage on which there are only a few years left. my wife approves of everything i write, even if you don't. she knows trash when she sees it, no matter what color it comes in.

It was said to provoke a response from the OP, and he fell right into the response I desired. He went off on having to explain his life style and that in fact he was not WT. I must have hit a nerve because he was very quick to explain his living situation and quality of life. The thing is he makes statements about a whole group, I made a generalization about him. Funny how the OP doesn't like generalization about him, but is quick to make racist comments. How come you are not asking him the same questions? Are you sympathizing with his view?

Let's put it this way, I will go down the road and I will say what I said to a white family and the OP can go to this ghetto he knows so well and he can make his statements to an African American. Racism and anti-Americanism is NOT alright on VJ. Racist comments, personal attacks and insults -based on race or on anything else - are still a violation of TOS whether they happen in OT or elsewhere in the forums.

We are more lenient with what is allowed to be said, what is allowed to stay and what is removed in the Off Topic forum. That does not mean that we support the comments or the positions taken in any way.

When we do remove posts that are insulting, racist or otherwise violate TOS we are criticized for censorship and not allowing members their right to voice their opinions. Some of these objections become quite vociferous. When we don't remove the offending posts we are criticized for allowing the insults to remain and told we are showing favourtism or are supporting the comments that are being made. We post warnings in threads about inappropriate behaviour based upon TOS for VJ. If the warnings are ignored, the thread may be closed and administrative action taken. We are criticized for that as well.

There are thousands of members on VJ. Whatever decision we make will dissatisfy someone - lots of someones.

If you feel that a decision that has been made - or not been made - is wrong, then please contact Captain Ewok so he can review the decisions and make a ruling.
