No Christmas gifts for me this year. Boo. Parents forgot. Hubby sent it last weekend but it's not here yet. Maybe next week? Mail is atrocious here.

My best Christmas present was a MP3 Sony player my husband (then boyfriend) got me. It's tiny and red and I love it. He also got me a beautiful black stone necklace and matching earrings. I bought him underwear and cologne. Hee hee.

The 'best' Christmas gift I ever got was from my parents in my late teens. We have always had cats and generally got a new kitten when one of our old ones passed away. We adopted one lovely white kitten who used to climb up my side to sit on my shoulder and that was his favourite place. He was very special to me. Unfortunately, it turned out he had feline leukaemia - he probably got it from his mother. At that time there was no test until symptoms presented themselves and no vaccine. It was so sad to watch him die slowly and I cried the day we had to put him to sleep when he began to suffer. Because leukaemia is a virus in cats it meant that we could get no new cats for the family until all of our existing cats had died because any one of them could pass on the virus to a newcomer. That Christmas Mom and Dad had arranged with a woman who made stuffed animals to make me a stuffed fluffy white toy cat that looked just like my beloved Kipling. It was one of the sweetest gifts I have ever received, and I have him still.

The best gift was probably a 13 inch TV from my uncle when I was 12 or 13. It was such a privilege to have your own TV in your bedroom and not have to fight with sister or dad over shows!

So far this year.... A snuggie! LoL my silly husband got it for me! I look like a monk, but it's so warm! Especially with the draft we get from our patio doors!

No gifts for me either.

My fiance's family doesn't celebrate Christmas and we're too short on money to give eachother anything this year.

Ah well. I've not been wanting gifts for years, so I guess I finally got what I wanted

I hope everyone had/is having a wonderful Christmas! I got a bunch of cool things this year. As always Bill went overboard, but I did well matching him for once! :P I got him some new Oakley sunglasses and an Avalanche 3rd jersey. The best gifts I got this year? a new pink Coach from the hubby and a home theater system for our TV from the in laws and a bunch of other goodies in between.

Hubby did good with the gifts this year :) He's always worried about pleasing me with gifts when he should know by now that it doesn't matter.

From my parents, we got $300 and I got one of the Vancouver 2010 zippered sweatshirts (red)...I LOVE it! Plus the Mittens and my aunt gave us one of the blankets that HBC is selling (goes well with the one I bought in Oct ;) )

All in all, both John and I did well with the gifts, and are thankful for everything we received :)

Oh and to the person who got a SNES and had to wait 3 days to play it....I got the NES system for Christmas one year, we left for Florida on Christmas Day and I couldn't bring it with me. I had to wait 2 WEEKS to play with it!

I laughed at that this morning when I saw the commercial, and almost spit out my tea. My mom got the Slap Chop for Christmas, and need to ask her about his nuts

Hope you all have had a happy, healthy and safe holiday!

This year rocked! My best present came early. We got back from our honeymoon in Disney Monday around 2 pm. We stopped by my mother in laws house and waiting for me was a PUPPY! He's awesome! A mini Australian shepherd. I named him Mose Shrute. For those of you who watch the American version of The Office, he's Dwight's weird cousin....ahahahahha.

Today I also got from the hubby tickets to see Phantom of the Opera tomorrow night, the Dwight bobblehead from The Office and a Shrute Beets t-shirt.

My sister and brother in law bought me the new Family Guy Star Wars dvd set in an awesome lunch box, The Office season 5 in a special box set.

My mother and father in law bought me a couple cookbooks and a massive jewelry box almost as high as me....lol.

We also got a bottle of champage and a very cool bath towel set from some other family and our best friend bought us all the puppy gear like the cage and toys, food, etc....

I made out really well this year but gave well too....hubby got the Wii and is tripping out wanting to play but he works tomorrow so he's got wait another day....and of course, now begins the time where I have to start the AOS paperwork.....lol....ah well, the fun could not last forever....back to papers, papers and more papers....hahaha
