Question for GC holders that did NOT have to interview

As dr_lha notes, Chicago is not the CSC. It's the receiving station for the NBC fka MSC.

You apparently understand what's going on thus far, you just don't want to write it so that your readers will have an idea what you're on about.

Anyway, my wifes apps were all set to Chicago. (CSC)

LUD, is a latest update. Call it touch, NOA.. whatever you like

No visa involved, we filed for AOS family based.

As far as I know, the approved 765 and pending 131 are in Missouri at the NBC.

Assuming the 130 and 485 will be sent to Newark NJ, our local DO.

I see while scouring timelines here and elsewhere that most folks in my date range

have their EAD and AP approved, and at least an interview letter with a date pending.

My curiosity is based on have seen somewhere that no AP approval, and no interview notice

by this stage of the game, along with the myriad of online updates could mean an

approval letter for the Conditional 2 yr PR card is forthcoming.

Just tring to see if anyone else in in the very same boat, or has sailed this path recently.

Appointment notice rec'd 7/28, GC interview 9/19 @ 1PM

APPROVED, given a 1 year stamp - told the card would be mailed right away :)

Rec'd 2yr conditional GC 10 days after interview :)

I see you received your 2 year card (congrats :)), but I don't see anything in your timeline showing that you received an apointment letter, or went for an interview.

That is specifically what I'm eluding to in my initial question.

After all this, I would say that the consensus is that the OP will probably NOT be approved without an interview, seeing as he is probably adjusting from VWP (he said there was no visa involved).

AOS Timeline

January 20, 2006 - Married!

February 10, 2006 - AOS and EAD applications sent

February 16, 2006 - NOA1 for AOS and EAD

March 3, 2006 - Biometrics appointment letter received

March 15, 2006 - Biometrics appointment for both AOS and EAD

March 24, 2006 - RFE for additional evidence for affidavit of support (letter dated 3/20/06)

March 28, 2006 - RFE response sent

April 3, 2006 - email update - MSC received RFE response

May 18, 2006 - received interim EAD from Boston office

June 6, 2006 - case transferred to CSC!!!

June 9, 2006 - case received at CSC

June 16, 2006 - EAD approved

June 24, 2006 - EAD card received (ooh, much prettier than the interim)

July 24, 2006 - 2 Year Green Card arrives in mail! No mistakes!

Our cases were different in that my husband was adjusting status from a K1 visa. As you can see from my timeline, the case was transferred to the California Service Center (CSC). It was approved without an interview.

As stated previously, seeing that you are not adjusting from a K visa, your case will probably not be eligible for transfer to CSC, and therefore not approvable without an interview.

I hope you get an appointment letter soon!

AH, we hope it comes soon to. I'm cautiously optimistic that the recent touchy feely going on might be an indicator that movement is around the corner :)
