Hey everyone was just wondering what packet 3 looks like and what it contains?

And this is also to help with my timeline on here as not sure where each date is for like when the nvc sent it to london when consulate received it and everything.

Because i have received a letter form london saying that they have received my approved petition and it has my lnd number on it, so i don't think as its packet 3 as not really a packet or doesn't say anything like that. But also aware that packet 3 doesn't really come as a packet seeming as its all down loadable now.

So please just give me a heads up on what i guess mainly english people received tho it might be general for everyone.

And then where each date is for my timeline so i can update it please.

Thanks for any help and time

Hi Leeander and Stacee,

I, the petitioner received the letter indicating that my packet was mailed to the U.S. Embassy. A few days after that we recieved the "Packet 3" which is really only the check off sheet that states that we have all our documents and are ready for schedulling the interview. I faxed over the check off sheet but had not hear anything so I sent it by email and then I recieved an email back that they got it. Then about 2 weeks later she recieved the invitation and the rest of the documents for the interview.

I hope that this helps.

Bernie

Then just now have sent of ds forms to london, so that sounds all ok right? or should i of waited till i got some other letter telling me to send stuff and this was just a preparation one?

Most embassies went electronic - you go to their site and download the needed forms.

They should have instructions on what you need to do.

Even more info from UK

Yes. "packet" 3 is the visa journey name for it. London now sends out a single sheet of regular paper with web links on it. Very boring, non-descript and anti-climactic. I can see why you might be confused. :)

Make sure you come on down to the UK forum where you can learn all sort of interesting things like how to get your long form birth certificate, and why you shouldn't follow the VJ example forms and check that you "DO INTEND" to provide specific contributions to the beneficiary while they are in the US.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

Why not keep the discussion up here in the proper forum so British citizens who DON'T go to the UK forum can learn?

So it sounds like then i have actually got packet 3 then, cause i did get that sheet with two web links, one for the forms, one for the medical info.

I know of been obviously, but all this talk of packet 3 was a lil confusing, plus its only been like two weeks since we got our NOA2, so to me thought it couldn't be because it was way too quick.

Well thankyou, plus i did post it here in the first place cause it was the general area where packet 3's are talked aobut, even tho it may be england specific, thought would get more of a chance here haha

Thanks
