Deciding on POE...

I am a LONG way from this step in the process...but I was interested in knowing who determines the POE for the foreign fiancee/spouse? Does the USC get to choose where they will fly into, or is that determined by the "Powers that Be"? It seems to me, if we were able to choose which POE we wanted, we would all avoid ATL (since I've heard SO many negative things about them!) and choose the POE that generally tends to have the least amount of hassle.

You choose it. When you purchase your flight, you just pick which U.S. city you fly into. Keep in mind, it all depends on where you are flying from and which airports offer flights to/from that country.

The POE is entirely up to you. The gov't doesn't care what POE you use - it's just what your flight plan is. Some have more horror stories than most, so maybe feel that out before you book the ticket. But they don't care where you come in.

Good idea about avoiding Atlanta! We're probably going to end up going with Chicago. Always been a breeze during VWP trips and I've not heard any grief with people entering on K1s.

JFK is the only one that might. It's not a sure thing.

You definatelly choose it yourself. Whereever you feel like entering the country is alright. Best luck on your further journey.
