Price varies depending upon where you get it in the USA. My wife had to get a second one and it cost $120.00 but my medical insurance paid it because we waited until we were married and I had her on my medical coverage prior to us processing the I-485

I have seen some people obtain the necessary vaccines at their county health clinic. I am not sure if the mmr is included but it may be worth checking out before you pay out of pocket.

I tried getting the follow up vaccine for the HPV but the health unit here in my place said "they don't give HPV vaccine to 18 years and up" like, #######? I showed my medical record and they said they don't deal with vaccines. So.. well...my husband and I doesn't have time to deal with nonsense people at the local health unit. So I'll probably have the follow up vaccine for the HPV with a private physician.

Is the second shot for MMR really mandatory?

I know that first shot was mandatory for women before they reach age 26.... I had my first shot before arriving to US (age 25)... and now wondering if I will have to have the second one done too.

Anyone more informed about this topic??

Thank you

My husband had to have his second MMR before beginning his studies at the University of Arizona. The state of Arizona requires students have 2 MMR shots before beginning classes. He also had his MMR before leaving for the states.
