Another option is to take the halves apart, and not lick the icing but enjoy one plain cookie and one iced cookie. I rarely eat an Oreo anymore, and when I do it is usually part of a dessert like Oreo milkshake or Oreo cheesecake. Yum.

I like the original better than any of the variants (double-stuffed, chocolate stuffed, mint which is basically a grasshopper, fudge covered, etc.).

I only eat oreos with milk - maybe wind up doing so once a year, if that. That icing white stuff is really nasty so I scrape it off.

I don't get the whole licking it and sticking it back together thing. I find that gross.

I have known people who take the icing part out, chew it for a minute, then spit it back onto the cookie, put the halves back together, and then eat it. It kind of makes me gag just thinking about that.

I eat them whole, but to be honest, I'm not a big oreo fan and almost never will buy or eat them. But if hubby bought some I'll eat a couple, the regular way.
