How come I'm reading that some people are getting their PP stamped after the Stokes interview? Even if we passed? Can someone just clarify please?

We passed the stokes, why didn't my husband get a stamp or whaetver? Why did we wait for a i130 in the mail

Some offices no longer stamp passports. They say that it is unneeded. Hence the wait for the documents or approvals....

0nce your interview was over, you should have asked your interviewer to stamp your passport.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Can you please tell me why you had the second interview? was that for I-130 ? Did you get the I130 approval in the end? Who interviewed you?

I also had a stokes at my initial interview but got the I-130 approval in the mail after 3 weeks.

Can you please tell us how was the "stokes" interview...

After we gave all the original documents requested by the IO and after asking some basic questions like date of marriage and simple questions that you should know he escorted my husband outside (he is the petitioner ) and then he started asking me questions about myself since my first day here and from my previous visit to America basically covering everything and he kept wtriting everything I was answering on an half of the page(he split the pahe in half) and sometimes he used to write some question marks next to some of my answers. After more than a half an hour (it seemed really long for me and longer for my husband ) he escorted me outside and and took my husband in and asked him the questions that he marked to check if they matched. Once he realised that the answered matched he got really angry and threatened my husband and reminded him about the penalties an offered

him to drop the petition for me which was ridiculous since our marriage is for real. He just said that he cannot approve our petition and my husband left saying that we'll go further and we'll take our chances (of course we didn't have a lawyer because what he did was illegal and I think we should have reported him). The funny thing is that he called our cell maybe 2 hours after the interview and told us that he wanted to approve our case but I needed something to prove that I don't need a waiver for a J1 visa that I had before my last visa and we tried to find something saying that I was not subject to 2 years HRR but unfortunately what we gave wasnt't enough ( he asked us to go back to the officeand give him the documents) and in the end my

I-485 was denied but the I-130 was approved and we had to apply again for the I-485.

I was actually expecting to be questioned and we prepared for anything even though my husband used to say that everything will be fine since our marriage is for real. So my advice would be to be prepared for anything especially if you have been married before or if you have something that may be viewed as a red flag.

Good luck and hopefully this will help someone!

Hope this helps someone
