While I have seen photos of those falls, have yet to make it down there, wife is concerned her beloved would be kidnapped so she keeps me locked up in her condo with bars on the windows that takes four locked doors to enter.

As much as I dislike Chavez, he is no different then here with name changes. Used to take 2nd St. to Pine, then to 3rd, then to Maple, then to 5th Ave. Have to be awake for that street and Avenue stuff.

Now I take Veterans Ave. to Veterans St. to the Veterans Expressway and swing a left on George W. Bush Ave. to get to the same place.

There are a lot of precedents for changing anglicized names back to the names given by the local culture to certain areas and cities. I think he has a valid point in this situation as well and see nothing wrong with a name change.

I completely agree with the name change --- it is restoring the original name and the meaning to the falls. Good for them.

I don't agree with Chavez, and in fact I loathe the man and the politician. But, he is the leader of that country. Furthermore, the falls were NOT discovered by Angel. They were discovered, and subsequently named by the natives who lived in the area long long before Jimmie Angel flew by it. You really should read news other than those that validate your narrow minded viewpoint for some perspective and context. Ignorance is no excuse.
