Ok, everything is almost done here for me! Medical appointment is coming up, and I am hoping to go on a short, last 2 week trip to America before I go for my interview. I`m assuming this is alright to do? However, another idea in mind is to go on the trip shortly after I go for my interview, but when that`s done I can`t remember... I wouldn`t be able to leave America until I get a Green Card, I believe?

Just want to clear this up before I make plans :)

If you go after your interview (when you should have the visa), you won't be able to leave again until you've applied for AOS and gotten permission to travel.

A trip before the interview is fine though, just bring evidence as always.

Right, just as I thought, thanks for clearing that up! Last question is how long abouts would the green card take to come through after the interview is over

(assuming all goes well, of course.)

Read the Immigration Timelines

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

TYpically you get AP before the greencard. That takes 1-3 months.

You can leave America but you have to get permission and that cost about $240, most people just go ahead and do that right away so they are good to go if they have to.

I am a bit confused. Lets say my k1 has been approved in Canada and I am flying from Canada to Europe but I change plane in the USA. Would that be a problem?
