We filed for all the things your suppose to, AOS, EAD, AP.

Within the wait time, we received a letter stating that the GC would be generated, and the very next day, the GC shows up in the mail.

Then a week later - the AP, then the EAD show up....

So now Umit has two sets of papers (I know the GC trumps the AP/EAD) - but it's refreshing to see the government working so fast.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Congratulations!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

That's awesome! Too bad you can't get a refund on the EAD and AP fees though.

Yeah - that would be madding, but there are no fee's if filed with the AOS :)

Do you think you were pessimistic by not expecting the GC as soon as it came?

Is it reasonable to expect a GC in less than 3 months if it's applied for immediately?

Again, great news for you & Umit.

I thought it would be longer before the GC would be decided on (some people have waited longer), and that we would of gotten the other items before the GC.

But I suppose when we received the letter stating it was sent (the 485) to CA, I should of suspected it would come faster.

Not that I am complaining... :)

Same thing will happen to me! Won't get to use EAD/AP....GC was approved yesterday and neither of them have showed up in the mail! :lol:
