POE Question - Fiancée is worried how much money to briing

I don't know if I gave her the right advice, but since she is on a fiancée visa and NOT a tourist visa they won't care how little cash she brings in.

She is thinking about bringing in travelers checks in Thai baht and US dollars.

I said it's not necessary - she should have a little money ($100 maybe) but other than that, no problem.

I told her to keep the money in her bank account for her son in the university.

Yeah they dont care how much money that she has with her. I would have her bring some money just to have some for the plane and the airports if she is having any layover. What is her POE going to be?

Removal of conditions Journey

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.

Thanks - it's JFK but I will be there come tornado, blizzard or Godzilla "intervention."

There will be a stop in Taipei.

Yup, they won't care. You are supposed to be responsible for her so she doesn't need to show evidence of being able to support herself.

It will just delay travelers if the Immigration would open their wallet or check their financial status.

Keep in mind she has to declare everything over $10K anyway. If I remember correcty, I brought $94k cash, all in a little black safe inside my carry-on luggage and had to open it at the P.O.E.
