I already have CEMAR I requested that last April 2009.I try to request new one earlier but they told me that they cant give me specific time when they can release it just because of the freaking holidays...My question is Embassy need new CEMAR or they will accept my old one....Please guys help me...

If you have a NSO copy of the CEMAR(certificate of marriage right?), that is all you need. It doesnt matter if you got it right after the marriage or just recently. It doesnt change the data on it.

16 March 2012 Sent I-751 package from Aviano AB, Italy.

29 March 2012 Received everything back...wrong fee. thought we didn't have to pay biometrics since we were sending fingerprint cards and passport photos.

30 March 2012 Sent everything out again from Aviano AB, Italy.

10 April 2012 Check cashed

17 April 2012 Received NOA1 dated 6 April.

06 Dec 2012 Received 10 yr green card. Letter said it was approved 28 November 2012.

if im not mistaken cemar is valid for only 6 months usually it takes 2 weeks to release it from NSO but since its holiday i guess it will take longer :)

I think that is CENOMAR (certificate of NO marriage) that is one thing i have been trying to get clarified too...Shiela-Todd said she used the certificate of marriage at her interview.

Good deal...and there is no expiration with that right? Just like the US? I was looking at the certificate and it didnt have an issue date that i remember

A Marriage Certificate from the NSO on NSO paper is good for long as you stay married. Missyouhon is applying for a CR1 visa so the CENOMAR (certificate f no marriage) part was taken care of before she got married in the Philippines.

So yes the original is fine. But it is wise to bring several copies of your Marriage Certificate with you to the US.

04/29/14 - biometrics date

Maybe you should try getting CEMAR online.

When I was still in the Philippines and needed a CENOMAR, I just made the request online and it arrived after 4 days in my beloved Cebu.

Hakuna matata.

She is apparently married but don't people request both the CENOMAR and CEMAR from the NSO? She can try it online then.

Hi Jen! Musta naman? :) I suggest you get a new one, I got mine via phone call to Pilipinas Teleserv. Bring a CENOMAR/CEMAR that's not older than 3 months, thats what they prefer, just to be safe.

Upon calling, you can just tell the operator you are to get a "marriage index", kahibalo na sila unsa na ...

Guys thanks for the help.Its helps me a lot.Yes I was confusing if my CEMAR was still valid cos its already 7 months old.Now all we need to do so that I can have all the papers needed in my interview we only need to move the date of my interview since my husband was coming here also to go with me....Thanks guys..God bless
