Hey guys,

I was just thinking. I hope this is not a big deal but during my visits in Vietnam, my SO and I made love. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. We did this before and also after we got married. I am wondering if they check for this sort of thing at the Medical Exam? We are going to do the CR-1. Would the CO make a big deal out of pre-marital sex if they found out that we did it? This is a bit embarrasing for me to ask so please bear with me.....

not involved in the medical exam... Your sex life is really none of thier business even though from time to time they have the balls to ask people about it...

The medical focuses on contagious diseases that might make your wife inadmissible to the US. There are no requirements that a K1 applicant be a virgin, nor that a CR1 applicant not be a virgin. It's also impossible to medically prove whether or not she had sex before you were married.

If the subject of sex comes up during the interview then it will be in the context of a bona fide relationship. I mentioned this in another post. If the interview degrades to the point where they start asking questions about sexual relations then the visa approval is already in big trouble, and they're just trying to get her to contradict herself by asking embarrassing questions.

USCIS has traditionally been more intrusive about your sex life than the consulates, and this generally only happens at a removal of conditions interview, and only if they have strong suspicions about the marital relationship.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
