Case Complete & Lesson Learned

Hello All:

Okay we got a case complete now. What we learned from this experience? When you submit a police certificate even though your spouse live in a country less than 6 months (According to NVC guidelines police certificate is not required if spouse live in a country less than 6 months) NVC may request police certificate and give you dreaded RFE. Make sure you have the police certificate, if you don't or cannot obtain it, please write an explanation that your spouse live in a country less than 6 months and this is why you did not send it. When i told about this to supervisor she told me i should of send an explanation letter. It is just crazy but i quickly obtained the police certificate and sent it. However i lost 17 days and couldn't make the deadline for scheduling an interview second week of the month. Just wanted to share this so others would benefit it. God May help you all in this bloody waiting period. Hopefully we'll get an interview date in February.

Sorry about your delay -- but look at it this way, you got your NOA2 in 36 days. Something had to even out somewhere. Even with that, you managed a CASE COMPLETE in about 3 months.

Many of us September filers are still waiting for our I-130 petitions to be approved.

Hope you have your interview date soon! :)

Good luck.
