Yes,the IO ask my parents for their married,birth certificate even though my sister send the original copies to the NVC.

luckily,I ask them to got another original copy before the dated interview at USEM.

As of today,my parents receive their pasport with visa in just 2 working days.I called air21 last night to inquire the tracking

number when to delivered the docs to our home,true enough what the call center agent told me that it will be delivered tomorow(today).

Currently Im searching for air ticket for LA/LAX.

To all VJ's member,thanks for the inputs.I've learned alot from your experienced.never been in a dark even my parents done their

sputum exam.Really a BIG HELP..

Hi! I asked Mama to bring 4 photo's and at St. Luke they didn't ask any requirements. Might be during the interview. I asked Mama to bring a photos and her original birth and marriage certificate and on my case I have my husband as a joint sponsor so might be a copy of birth certificate again although on her documents I sent certified true copy at NVC.

Thanks. Actually, the IO didnt ask for any 2x2 pictures during the interview at USEM because according to my mother, St. lukes ask the for two copies of 2x2 pictures.just ask your parents to briing at least 4 pcs.2x2 pictures during their medical exam.at the back of the pictures they must write their names

on it.the other fees, the doctor requires my mother to have her psychology exam which is another 1000 pesos additional on top of the normal fees for medical.Might ask your parents to bring additional money just in case.

hope it helps.

Good Luck... :dance::dance:

In our interview (spouse petition) the embassy CO didn't ask for anything that we'd already sent to the NVC. I don't know why they'd ask for a BC or marriage cert if the NVC already got those.

What kinds of evidence do they require of the parents besides the legal documents? Do they like to see photos, emails, phone records, etc. between the parents and the petitioning son or daughter?

And of course, it's okay for the petitioner's spouse to co-sponsor, I believe.

@a0_cons:

Although NVC required and receive all your legal document during the processing period, It is stated in the interview schedule that you still

have to bring the necessary legal documents at the time of the interview.but mostly its a generic response too, but for the safer and peace

of mind,we ask our parents to bring those docs and save time just in case the IO ask for it.

Yes ,The IO ask my mother some photos together with the petitioner(my sister).

No need emails,phone records.

Hope it helps.

Good luck. :thumbs:

Okay, thanks, donpobre. I guess if the originals were sent to the NVC, the parents must bring photocopies or certified copies at least.

I didn't think the need for evidence would be as strong as with the spouse/fiance applications.

I'm really praying everything will be ok. I've read from other forums that yes, some have gotten an interview notices for 6:30am interviews. Usually they let the disabled, kids or older to go first. Anyone interested to get tickets from Manila to US (or US to Manila), PM me.

My local agent will work with you and find the cheapest ticket.

She quoted me $725 from Manila to DC on January 20th, 2010 for a one-way ticket.

Round trip should be high-$700's to low $800's. She told me that the sale starts on the 20th.

Note: I'm not related to this agent nor do I make money from her.

I'm just passing the deal to everyone.
