Dear VJ Members,

My fiance and I are quite worried about our K1 petition filed last July 30, 2009. We received our NO1 last August 5, 2009 and until now we didn't hear anything from them. We are quite reading news and updates from a lot of VJ Members which have the same timeline with us about the progress of their respective K1 petition. Some got so lucky, they had the process so quite speedy which some of them had already their final approval of visa or others are just awaiting for Interviews, etc.

We in fact follow-up and called USCIS to check about our pending petition, my fiance even went there personally to check and all they can say is that "The K1 petition is on Review". We fully understand the process and all the patience needed but the long waiting, anticipation, long distance are killing us both.

Any thoughts why there are some petitioners got the process quick and some like us who are very unlucky to be placed in the bottom of the waiting list?

Good luck to everyone and we are happy for those who got a very speedy process. We are fully in your side, same as our longing to be with each other arms. We are keep praying that one day, our turn will come and we will got that approval.

Thanks.

We don't have a lawyer. We just did the process and filing by ourselves.

We know that it will take 5 months for the whole process, our just plain concern is that our case has not been move anywhere.

In fact, we are assuming and preparing ourselves that it will be indeed delay for the end of the this month will be the FIFTH MONTH since our filing of I-129F.

We apologize for the sentiments but we are just worried and wanted to hear some ideas if what makes it delay compare to other cases considering filing, or type of case maybe or process or what other factors that may affect the whole process and timeline.

We will be patiently waiting and will be waiting even it will take forever for being with each other means everything.

Thanks for the members who did take their valuable time to share there thoughts.

We are in the same situation as you. Our NOA1 date is July 23rd and we haven't heard anything either. We are trying to be patient but it can be difficult at times. Hopefully we will both hear good news very soon.

We got our NOA1 on October 2 and still nothing. Almost all September filers got their approvals, a lot of them have interviews very soon and we are still on hold.

So if you are thinking that VSC is going faster then CSC I don't know what to say. We are on Initial Review and hardly waiting to get our approval soon. They say 5 months and you can't do anything before. We will call them just to say that we give all from ourselves.

Be patient and sooner or later you will get your visa. We are also from different continents, thousands and thousands miles away from each other. Thanks God for skype, cellular phones and emails.

I would visit your US Congressman, take a copy of your petition to him/her and plead for help, it's his job to help you and earn your vote next election time. If the congressman is not helpful, then go to one or both of your US Senators' office. Instead of just waiting, trying these venues will at least pass the time knowing you did everything possible. Wishing we all get our soul mates here sooner rather then later.

IF YOU THINK YOU SUBMITTED ALL THE DOCUMENTS , THEN NO NEED TO WORRY.

IN MY CASE, WE RECEIVED RFE AFTER 5 MONTHS OF WAITING, BUT WE COMPLIED ALL THE REQUIREMENTS.

AND RECEIVED DENIAL NOTICE BUT WE'RE GIVEN OPTIONS TO FILE AN APPEAL , IMMIGRATIONS SAYS DIVORCE PAPER WAS NOT SUBMITTED,

SO WE FILED AN APPEAL, PAID $585, SUBMIT THE DIVORCE PAPER. WE DONT HIRE A LAWYER, WE ASKED HELP FROM A CONGRESSMAN,

WHICH HE CALLED THE USCIS AND NOW WE RECEIVED NOTICE FROM IMMIGRATION THAT THEIR FINAL DECISION IS ON JANUARY 11,2010.

IT'S REALLY A LONG WAIT.....

HAVE FAITH IN GOD!!!!!!

Once you pass the 5 month processing time call USCIS and they will start a service request. I did that on December 24th which was 1 day past my 5 months. It was really a coincidence that later that same day I received an email notifying that we were approved.
