Well, we're looking forward to our Interview on December 21st. it's been so long waiting and then all of a sudden everything is moving at warp speed...sold our house and while the house was being inspected the mail presented our interview letter and got our heads spinning.

I'm excited to be able to take my wife (US citizen) along to the interview and hopefully celebrate my welcome to the US in Montreal with her. the only concern is that we're bringing our 10 month old along with us and it's going to be terribly cold there. I want to be early in the line for the door but don't want my wife and child to wait in the cold with me. Do any of you have any tips for beating the cold and suggestions of where my wife and child could hide out until it's time to go inside?

also, have any of you brought infants along to the interview and how did that work for you?

thanks

Check in the Canada regional forum to see if infants are even allowed into the Consular area.

Another member brought their young one to the interview with no issues.

He also had his wife and child wait in their car until it was time to actually go into the consulate.

We don't have a car as we'll be flying in and have been advised to use public transport if we need to go anywhere. I'll look around more for anything mentioning kids but don't recall seeing anything....

You can get there early and just around the corner on Renee Levesque there is a Tim Hortons they can wait in until closer to 7:30am when the doors open.

That way they can stay warm while you freeze in line :)

Good luck.
