Hello everyone,

John is about to mail the documents the embassy asked him to submit in a little bit... They told me: "Ask him to DHL these documents to the embassy".. However, there's no DHL branch where he is or anywhere near.. Does Cairo embassy accept any type of shipment through any courier? Is it ok if he sends it via Fedex or USPS?

I wonder why they said DHL specifically

Thanks in advance!

Aya

well Aya they asked about the DHL cause they used to it i think and when sending anything to anyone they send it via DHL but i read lots of people says they accept any other courier like UPS or Fedex also something come on my mind now i know it gonna add some more cost but it can works fine here is my idea why you not let John sending it to you via UPS or what ever then you mail it to the embassy via DHL i did the same when Suzie sent me her divorce certificate she sent it to me via UPS then i sent it my self to the embassy via DHL hope it help , have a great day .

I think what Mounir said is a good idea! That way you can send it on to the Embassy!

Thank you everyone for your input! :)

Mounir, that was a really good idea! :)

Thank you disconnection, Amy, and Andrea!

John came across a little hidden DHL store while driving and searching the area. He sent the packet last night via DHL. :)

I'm kind of still wondering why the embassy says DHL specifically...is DHL like their sponsor or something :P

It's all one big conspiracy, if you ask me. Anything to make things harder for the applicants. They'll stop at nothing. :ranting:

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Aya, I remember when we first began our visa process the embassy was using TNT. They switched to DHL in 2007 and have been using it since then. Perhaps this next year they will switch again!! Who knows!! Glad he found a DHL store!

I think they should leave it up to the applicants as per which courier they want to mail them for further evidence or any stuff after the interview... But well I'm glad we sent it the way they wanted... I really hope we hear something by next week!
