Great News...little problem...

Just received great news, my wifes AOS has been approved!!! We only filed for it, and it was received in Chicago in Oct 2004. (short time huh? Oct. 2004 - Feb 2006) 270 - 300 days my *bleep*

Anyway, we did get this good news that it was approved and they ordered a new card and it will be sent as soon as it is made.

So here is my problem... we have just recently bought a house and moved in maybe 3 weeks ago. Do I need to report our new address to them? Or just wait to receive the card and then apply for the address change? Or does the address even matter?

We have been having such problems with this process...(lost papers, re-file for work authorization, redo med exam...blah blah blah) I hesitate to see what kind of problems this could cause us.

Any suggestions?

Oh, and by the way, THANK YOU EVERYONE for all you help through-out this tedious process.

:D Congratulations on the approval. I think you need to report the address change but am not completely sure. I am sure someone here knows! Good luck

You are ment to report address change within 10 days but if you still have access to your mail from old address I would wait.... and then send in AR11 once you have your greencard....

If you dont have access to old address and are just having mail forwarded the you will need to phone the helpline and file AR11 asap.. because the letter with the greencard is not ment to be forwarded USPS are ment to return it to USCIS....

Good luck

Wow, that I didn't know...thanks for the heads-up. We have the USPS forward all mail for a few months... but I will go ahead and submit the AR-11 immediately.
