Question about my Mexican Fiances Minor Child

I want to file a 1-294f and bring my Mexican finance and her minor child (6 years old) to the United States. I sent her some money to get a passport for her and her child in Mexico (Mexico City). She went to get it and they told her she couldn't get one for her child because her child's father needs to sign for it. His name is on the birth certificate but they were never married, and he's not around. Does anyone have any input regarding this type of situation?

They are pretty strict on this - you will have to find the father or perhaps get some sort of court ruling to allow some sort of "in absentia" permission.

Lawyer consult would be advisable.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
