I just had my interview this morning for K1 visa. My most awaited one. I had mine at 8:00 Am at window 29. The guy was a good looking one, but behind that gorgeous face was a horrible character. I know that their job is to scrutinize people, but wasn't expecting him to call me a liar where in fact I said all truth and nothing but the truth. I just don't understand what went wrong. Docs were all good and complete.. Questions were answered honestly. What more should I say? And when my name was called at the counter 37, the pinoy guy told me my case is for further review. They didnt say if i am denied or approve. Im so nervous that I wanna die now. Like my whole world and dream to be with my fiance all vanished. But my loved ones said, you said all truth and we don't know yet what will be their decision about it. But I don't want to hold on anymore. My dreams were all shattered and felt so humiliated.

I just want to know if this case really happens? I am now praying hard..really hard.. that somehow God will listen to me and hoping it'll be approved. Or will I ever have another interview? I don't like another humiliation from a consul. :crying: :crying: :crying:

Is there anybody here who has the same case? Or experienced same thing? Why do they need further review? Where all i said were true and honest.

They didn't ask anything yet. They just gave me this paper with..

White paper..

and they checked the category

_ WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US: Your case requires further administrative processing/review.Wait for a letter telling you when to return to the Embassy with the documents marked above... But in the upper portion they didnt check anything for me to submit. Maybe they will just give me instructions on the mail that they will send me.

I just don't have any idea now what will happen next. And how long it'll be. And if the applicant just need to pass something again to them. Or will they instruct me to have another interview. I don't like another interview. I had enough nightmare. The questions were:

1. Where and when did you meet your fiance?

> I said.. We met online sir.

CO: what site?

ME: Filipinaheart sir

CO: Oh, I know that, it's a site where they render visa something.. people get to seek faster visa processing or thingy.

ME: I don't think so sir. COz it's a dating site sir.

CO: No, I know that. It seems you don't know this site well. ( his voice was kinda intimidating already and his eyes were sharp)

ME: Sir, I know it because that is where My fiance and I met. ( My reply was a bit calm yet i'm kinda pissed coz he was in a debate mode, wherein im not and i know im saying the whole truth and i know it well)

CO: So, you mean i'm lying? and i don't know it?

ME: I didnt say that sir, I was just telling you it's really a dating site where we've met.

CO: So, I see you have some relatives in US.

ME: Yes, sir. sister, brother and my mom.

CO: I see, you know people who have relatives there are highly introduced to someone.

I Suppose your relatives took part in it., And they introduced you to him.

ME: Sir, no. Coz we met online. They have nothing to do with that.

CO: Oh, really? Well, is your mom a US citizen?

ME: No sir, she's just legal permanent there but was married to an American.

( This is the truth guys, coz my mom isnt a citizen yet, and until this day to be honest i dont know why my mom doesnt want to take oath or to be citizen. My mom and i were not that close and i dont question her decision when she left us and married. I was too young when my mom left us. I was only 8. And I've seen her again 2004. She left us like around 1192 and showed up 2004 when I graduated in college. then showed up again 2007 and 2008. but we never talked about her status in US. SO in short, I dont know much about her condition there.)

CO: you sure? hmmm.. who is VErba?

Me: her husband sir.

CO: are u sure ur mom isnt a US citizen?

Me: Im sure sir.

CO: I guess you didnt meet your fiance online. I guess you're not telling me the truth.

ME: (I raised my right hand) - - Sir, I swear to God im telling you the truth. We met online in that site. (I almost cried) but didnt show I was scared of his smart #### comments. I stood for what was right and for what I know is the whole TRUTH. I never encountered this. Being accused as a liar! I am not! Geez, why was he like that? Then, there was a 2 minute silence he was just looking at his monitor clicking the mouse over and over again.

CO: Ok, we will call you outside again. Just wait.

Damn, he didnt even say bye phrases. NOt even greet good morning and not even say hi and be friendly to my 4 year old kid who was with me as my K2.

I'm sorry you had a tough interview. It sounds like he was trying to make you 'break' or change your story. You didn't. You stuck to the truth and kept repeating it, so that is very good. It sounds to me like they are just going to do some more checking to make sure the information you provided is indeed the truth. You did just fine, and I hope that you hear some good news soon.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Not same embassy but ours were simiiar. The interviewer called my fiance a fake at every turn... At one time she said "Your papers are tooooo organized.... YOUR FAKE", and then she asked "What does your fiance do when she's at home?"... "we talk on cam".... Your a LIER She couldnt believe how long we talk to each other. But if she would have accepted the proof, she would have seen the lengths of time we talk. Just the other day we talked for 10 hours straight. We usually talk on average 5 to 6 hours a night after I get off work. Even though he spoke the truth in all the questions, they would not believe his answers. She did not give him any paper at the end of the interview stating anything. She did not take his passport... so just says "Bye! We'll call you later". Come to find out that we are in AP. Which was what I figured would happen to begin with... but at first we thought we were denied since she proclaimed throughout the whol interview process that she thought we were fake.

So all you can do at this point is wait and see. You call call DOS periiodically to find out about the status of your case, and do the same possibly by emailing the consulate for case updates.

Hope you hear some news soon!

The CO was a rude jerk, it sounds like. They have to be, sometimes, especially in places with a significant amount of visa fraud, but there's a fine line between being diligent in checking your story, and being a jerk, and it kinda sounds like he crossed it.

He'll be held accountable, in the fullness of time. Or he'll know why he doesn't have to be. God is good.

I wouldn't worry too much about the administrative processing. The extra wait is a big pain, but AP is fairly common, and legitimate people get through it just fine. Hang in there and keep the faith. God will open this door for you, unless He has a reallyreallyreally good reason why not.

DON'T PANIC

You got a white paper (221g) and that doesnt mean you are denied. I got the same paper when i had my interview but i was approved.I got my visa a month after the interview. They don't need more documents from you. What they do is they will do more document verification.

Don't worry to much..Am sure it will be approve. If it was denied they should have given you back ur passport right after the interview.

I have learned from a travel agent who process the US Visa of someone that I know that you will never tell the consul you have met your fiance on a "dating" site...because it is consider like a mail-order bride thing and that will raise a red flag on your case. Another thing, they are more suspicious to those who have relatives in the US or those that are being introduced by a relative or a common friend...because they thought you just made an arrangement or pay someone to get you to US. Maybe that's why the consul was being rough to you. Well, you are not denied and you still have the chance to be approved. So hang on there...you know your relationship is genuine, you told them the truth...God will bless you with a good news. I understand it will be hard to talk to your family and friends about this...but trust me, it helps a lot to have someone to be there with you at times like this. :) Dont give up sis!

uhmm... so you would have people lie?

Sounds to me that the OP's mother's status is more of an issue here rather than the dating site. Also, having relative in USA did not help.
