Unfortunately my fiance and I had a fallout after her K3 was approved and she had received her visa. Now she is no longer coming to the US and I would like to know when the visa would expire so I may have another chance of applying for one in the future. Alternatively is there a number I can call to get the visa invalidated?

Finally does anyone know if having applied for one K3 create problems for future K3 applications?

Hello

im sorry to hear such news

as of the k3 , its valid for two years from the date of issue

the only thing u can do is to call the department on state and inform them about your situation and see what they can do for u

as of future filing , there is no problem as long as u meet the guide lines

Good Luck

Was this a K1? You stated that she/he was/is your finance.

" Fiancé refers to a male engaged to be married. " Just a FYI

If you are not married you could not have file for a K3.

Ah yes, it's a K1. I keep getting those mixed up. I suppose the valid period is the same (2 yrs)?

K1 is a single entry visa usually valid for 6 months from issuance.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
