Morning everyone!!

Sandra, Hope your son feels better soon!

Does anyone else's little ones obsess over Nancy? If I have to hear "Chater Chater" one more time, I'll pull my hair out! :blink: (Hubby prefers Haifa...wonder why!?) :whistle:

I-130 Sent: July 23, 2007

NOA1: September 4, 2007

Daughter Born: October 27, 2007

NOA2 (Both 1-130 & I-129): March 12, 2008

NVC receives I-129F, case # assigned: April 4, 2008 (They NEVER receive the I-130)

Interview Date: August 12, 2008

Visa in hand, 1 month exactly of AP/AR/name checks: September 12, 2008 (whoot! whoot!)

POE: October 16, 2008 (praying all goes smoothly!)

Abed arrives in Lexington, KY (FINALLY! What a rough trip for him!): October 17, 2008, 8:47am EST

Adjustment of Status:

Sent in April 16, 2009

Received NOA1 in mail: April 29, 2009

Biometrics Appt: May 13, 2009

RFE: May 11, 2009 (received May 14, 2009)

Sent in RFE (that we had already included in the original packet!): May 26, 2009

Interview Date: July 31, 2009...easy, breezy...Card Production Ordered!

Oath Date: April 12, 2013 (Covington, KY)

done Done and DONE!!! Praise God!

Now we get to work on getting his family to the US!!

Tasha, that little guy of yours is such a cutie!

Thanks Maureen! We think we will keep him! You should hear the little guy talk. It's so funny to hear him speak in his little southern twang but then turn around and speak Arabic words with his dad. Too funny!

My 7 year old is totally and completely in :wub: with her. He forces us to listen to all of her songs over and over in the car and begs to see her music videos on youtube. He's favorite song is akhsmak ah. I'm starting to think he's got more of a crush on her than love of her music :P Either way I'm rotten tired of her lol

sorry i'm late on this thread but here i'm Happy Thursday MENA wish to all of you a great day and a woderful weekend , Aya inshallah you will hear good news this coming week ,, today i got a good news too i checked the DHL and it says the visa package is removed already from the embassy yayyyyyyy then i called the DHL to be sure then they told me yes they have it now and will send it to me this coming Saturday God willing , so love to share it with all of you , have a great day Aymsgirl,Tunisia216,angie & abed,Staashi,Sandra,Jax,charles,Maureen,Jeanne and everyone. :thumbs:

Trying too! We have the two older kids done. Malek got gifts for Eid but I can't have him open something so we are getting him one of those battery operated ATV's. I am sure he will tear the yard up with that this spring!

Hey everyone! Our internet has been out for the last ten days (since before the end of the school term) and I have been having a bit of internet withdrawal :P We have had a bit of good news the last couple days, though. Yesterday we got to hear our little one's heartbeat for the first time :wub: and today we found out that Ahmed's EAD has finally been approved and is in production. Now we move on to the joys of job hunting :blink: I am trying hard to enjoy the remaining 2.5 weeks of time off from school and get some rest while I can. :)

I've only been able to keep up with a couple of you, but I hope the rest of you are doing well!

Thinking about making fudge tonight... hmmm.

Oh, and does anyone have a good shawarma recipe? The ones I have found on the internet have not really been the kind that I like... I like the kind that ends up kind of reddish from the spices. I don't know which nationality style that is, I'm thinking maybe Syrian or something. I unfortunately don't have the time right now to go sifting through the recipe thread here :(
