AUS to promote "Safety Santa"

I heard on the radio tonight (and it'll probably be out via AP tomorrow) that AUS is now trying to ban Santa since he's so unsafe. He's very fat and eats bad food, he flies around with no helmet and without a seatbelt, walks around on rooftops and goes down chimneys with no harness - he's just not a good role model.

He also spreads swine flu when kids sit on his lap.

So, AUS is going to start promoting some kind of "Safety Santa" in new depictions of the jolly old fat man. He's going to have a gas mask on when kids are sitting on his lap, wear a helmet in his sleigh, and always make sure he's using his proper rapelling and safety equipment on the rooftops. And he'll be in better shape!

I can't make this stuff up.
