Questions about coming to the USA

Hi everyone,

My fiancee Erma will be coming here to the USA in January. We know about the weight limit on luggage, but we were wondering if there is a size limit on the suitcase that will be stored in the cargo area of the plane? Basically, how big is too big to go under the plane?

My second question is about work once she is here. Is it true they will stamp her I-94 when arriving in the US and allow her to work right away? Then we need to fill out the papers during AOS for longer term permit to work? Just curious about how this process works as she would like to work right away.

Thanks for any help and GOD bless everyone. Merry Christmas too!

James

look on the air carrier website for info... answer can vary by carrier you select

no she cannot work until she has EAD in hand... most POE's do not issue any kind of stamp at entry

JFK was the only POE that would stamp your I 194 it so you could start to work when you arrived.

They stopped doing that about 15 months ago.

check the airline website. as mentioned earlier, it varies by carrier, and what you may be told today may change tomorrow.
