Does anyone know of a good Civil Surgeon in the Houston Texas area that isn’t trying to get to deep in the pockets? I am tired of trying to explain to these doctors that K1 doesn’t need a full blown physical they only need a vaccination review. They have already had an exam before that someone coming on a K1 Visa is require having a medical exam before they are allowed in the US. I’m sure that someone people have run into this.

They also ask for the proof of the exam. If I’m not mistaken the exam results are given to the Consulate and then handed off when the immigrant enters the POE point of entry.

Good experiences please reply.

Thanks in advance.

Just print out the instructions for the 485, and the instructions for the 693, and show them it where it states someone coming in on a K-1, and it's less than 1 year, does not need to do the whole medical again.

(Plus show the visa (k-1) and entry date (I-94)) - The only thing I had to really bring along was a copy of Umit's vaccinations, from the CS in Turkey. (we had them make us a copy for her records).

I had the same issue, but I called around till I found one that actually understands the instructions. (or my insistence in bringing them up :))

I can't recommend a doctor in that area, but I would avoid Dr. Arnold (I haven't been following up on his case - but some users here reported issues with USCIS and his work).

(ah - looked up the thread here about Dr. Arnold)

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS

Hello fello VJer,

We received an RFE for the vaccination part after sending the DS-2032 or whatever form that is (sorry, dont wanna look up the righht number) - so I spent a good portion of my workday yesterday calling as many people on the civil surgeon list for houston.

Came across this guy

77022 - Houston, TX

* Dr. Nazmudin Keshwani, Med-Cure

96 Berry Road, Houston, TX 77022

(713) 699-0500

cost us $25 and 2 hours of wait time, but got the job done... Now i KNOW this is the middle of the ghetto and the facility is more of not more than a day clinic, BUT we got the job done... 25 bucks for the sealed envelope and a copy for our records....

For what is worth, i found this other Dr. who also said over the phone would do it for $25 but a bit out of my way

Dr. Forough Farzani, Hillcroft Physicians

6400 Hillcroft, Houston, TX 77081

(713) 988-3921

That should be enough ah?

Case touched today to say they issued an RFE yesterday. So it goes...

I just wish we had a copy of the DS-3032, but the hospital my husband had his medical wouldn't give him a copy. In the excitement of the moment (I guess) at POE, he forgot to ask for a copy.

Monday, I'll call the Drs Zambo found.

Thanks, Zambo!

* Dr. Ronald A Haley

2600 South Loop West, Suite 155, Houston, TX 77054

(832) 778-8700

Charges $250 to fill out the form!!

Our concern is that we don't have a copy of the DS-3025, and the place where my husband had his medical done will not give a copy to the patient.

do you have his vaccination records from the hospital/clinic when they were performed? Is really all you need.... not everyone has/gets a DS-3025 when they try to adjust status... they know how to fill out the form from the "original" records (translations may be needed).

If you do not have the original records then they can perform a "titre" test to determine the presence of antibodies.... they can help you in whatever your record or lack or record situation is.

Cool. I hadn't heard of a titre test before.

My husband's vaccination record shows all but 2 of his shots. The two missing are the ones he got at his official medical exam there & each was the 2nd in a series. The CS may determine that he needs to retake those shots since they're not on his record. Hopefully, if it would be harmful to retake them, they can do this titre test.

so the i-693 in the sealed envelope is the only thing they need and no other immunization records like copies or cetified translations?

Firdaus, I'm confused as to who "they" is in your post.: the Civil Surgeon or USCIS?
