I booked my fiancee a morning flight to Manila from Cebu to have her medical done. It's on a Thursday. I figure she'll arrive at St. Lukes around 11 AM. Does anyone think she'll have a problem getting in and done with the examination? It's very costly after awhile to keep going to Manila and back...having to rebook and more hotels. I hope no one has had this problem. Any recommendations on the best time to go? I know someone mentioned Thursday at noon or later.

I am from Cebu too, I had mine last Nov. 24-25, my flight was 6am in the morning on the 24th and I went to St. Luke around 11:30AM. I finished the first day at 5PM and I was advised to come back the following day at 1PM. The 2nd day I went back St. Luke around 1PM but I was advised to be back 2PM for immunization. I went back 2PM for immunization but waited more than an hour to have only one vaccine because I almost finished all my vaccines before my medical. After immunization I waited another an hour for releasing.

She will be fine with that schedule as long as no problem with the x-ray and lab test.

Tell her to eat before going to St. Luke because medical will really take time.

From where she is here in Cebu?

She's from Lapu-Lapu City. I booked the 8:20 AM flight, I believe...and she'll arrived at 9:45 AM. I'm sure she could get there earlier than 11:30 AM if she had to. I just don't want to have her have to fly back or stay an extra day...It would cost me. How long does it take to get from the airport to St. Lukes?

Glad to hear that she's from Lapu-Lapu City, I am here in Mandaue just 20 mins from Lapu-Lapu City.

I was picked up at the airport by a hotel car and maybe it took 45 mins travel from the airport. She will be ok with that schedule.

Around 45 minutes depending on traffic, Rush hour should be getting over by when lands.

Have her stay in boarding house in Manila, they are only a few pesos per day.

Many cheap hotels in Manila area, that are very nice. I say if you pay over 1,600 peso for a hotel then you paid too much......

Geeze! Maybe I was able to bump in your fiancee earlier! :P

I arrived in SLMEC last Wednesday at 1PM and so far the flow was superb. I was able to finish my tests early. Then I returned early this afternoon (2PM) to get my results. Luckily, I made it. This afternoon was a little crowded because some of their staff were having a Christmas Party and only a few of them expedited the papers.

I'm sure your fiancee will be able to finish her medical this week as long as her x-ray results are good.

Just be positive. Don't be a worry bunny like me. <<

Glad to hear that u already did ur medical exam and was able to pass. I'll have my medical soon on 29th of this month. Can u please write down some details about the medical exam process? I'm really curious about what will u do first when u get in to the SLMEC. And i'll be having my upcoming interview by Jan. 19th.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe I am not undersdtanding your question exactly but my wife was at St Lukes the first day very early and was told to come back the second day. I never heard of anyone completing the entire ST Lukes in only one day. I would not plan on that. She had no problems with her medical and passed. My wife traveled from Mindanao to Manila and I provided for her to have a hotel there for 4 days so she had plenty of time to complete the medical and also go pay the fees for the visa application at the bank in Manila so she did not have to worry about paying the visa application cost (DS-156/DS-157) doing that when she came back to Manila for her interview.
