babes,

Contact the consulate in Manilla and explain that you are adjusting status. This will help the consulate to return the file to the right place for the right reason. .

If you don't say anything the consulate will think that you've abandoned your immigrant visa application and may return the petition with a recommendation to revoke it.

JRluvsLhyn,

Your timeline indicates that you have already taken care of this by notifying the NVC that you are adjusting status. You have not submitted your visa application materials to the NVC, correct? Your petition will not go to the consulate, you will not be scheduled for an immigrant visa interview.

Apparently babes did submit the immigrant visa application, and pay the fees. Ouch.

Thanks for the advice..yesterday I contacted the US Embasssy Manila and told them about my caseand the reason why I didnt showed up for my IR-1 interview and I also told then that I have pending Adjustment of status application at USCIS and the person I talked to said that I shoud not worry coz the embassy had a record that I was issued K3 visa and if I wish not to continue to process the IR-1 and choose to adjust my status here its fine I only lost all the money I paid for that other petition I had but still I send the US EMbassy email so at least I had a written explanation in their record....
