Keep calling each day. Take note of the status. Get:

1. current status with the date/time stamp and

2. prior 3 status things, with date/time stamp.

Usually - is

Casefile opened (which I think you have now) and then

P4 sent

and then

Interview Date Set.

The IV Unit at the Consulate in GUZ sets appointments 3 or 4 times each month, in a 'batch cycle'. Usually, the P4 package set is sent out , or bundled to be sent out, either ON the same day, or just prior, of the interview date being 'set'.

Good Luck !

Thank you again, just got off the phone with DOS, (20 mins wait before got a human), the lady said the samething as yesterday, she said the consulate has the case file and the next step is to open and review, the interview date will be set after that.

You mean the p4 sent before the interview date set? I thought they set an interview date before sending the p4 out.

So the consulate in GUZ send the p4 out for the family based visas 3 or 4 times a month? Do you think I will get an interview date set sometime next week?

Thanks.

I know they most likely do it every day for the K visas, just wasn't sure for F type visas.

Will I possible get the appointment date set sometime next week?

Thank you.

Just called DOS today & have been told that the case is current, the status is pending, is this mean they are in the process of the scheduling?

Thanks.

I think it means 'casefile opened' at GUZ.

Scheduling is never 'automatic' at GUZ - they only set schedules 3 or 4 times, each month, to cover the next month's calendar.

So, being in a queue to be 'set', is good. I'm guessing 1 to 2 weeks more, before the next 'setting' of interviews.

Good Luck !

Thank you Darnell, I heard GUZ sets interview dates for the F type visas once a month, usually after the visa bulletin is post, so I am hoping I will get the interview date between this week and next week.
