My wife had her interview today. They made her wait for 5 hours. They didnt ask that many questions. The interviwer was nice and asked a few questions. They didnt ask for any documents and said everything was with them. Then they gave the blue slip to her and told her to check every week online. So yeah, i should have known that she would get an AP. What a load of horse c.....

Anyway, I dont know how long APs take in Abu dhabi for women. Any input on AP time in UAE? What is going to happen now? So yeah, thats what happened with us... Quite a downer.

The worst part of AP is not knowing how ling it will take.

Call DOS and find out if your administrative processing is name checks or if it's the embassy doing verifications.

I hope you have a short AP process.

Waiting.....Waiting....waiting....waiting....and more waiting..........

This might be a stupid question, but what is DOS?

The Department of States phone number is 202-663-1225

Once you have connected push 1 and then push 0, to connect to a person.

Good Luck!

It sounds like both Abu Dhabi, UAE & Ankara, Turkey are both handing out AP left and right. Our interview was on Dec. 15th as well but in Ankara and the CO had no problem with our documentation, didn't have a problem with the Affidavit of Support, didn't doubt our relationship. He just handed us the blue slip, our pics & my husband's passport back and said just check the website every Friday. He didn't give us any reason other than saying there was some additional processing necessary. It can't be a name check because my husband has a very rare name and is the only entry that comes up if you google him. There were a lot of Iranians ahead of us that all got AP, a few got an RFE and a few got denied. I think, due to the economy, the consulates are just putting more people on AP even if there is no problem with their packet. I don't know how soon after an interview is kosher to contact a congressman. Maybe others will say how long they waited before they started calling.

Will they be able to update me even though, she got the AP on the 15th of Dec? Is it too soon?

DOS should have you in the system. You will need your case number when you call; which should begin with the first three letters for the embassy.

Add Qatar to the list of handing out AP, even though the CO said he beleives in our valid marriage and there are no problems with our documents. The CO told us its standard AP for us

If my husband doesn't get a call from in embassy in 1 more week (our interview was the 13th Dec), i will contact my congressman............why waste time?

Good luck to all :star:
