I think making friends is huge. I've made 'work friends' and made friends with some of my husband's friend's wives, but haven't made any on my own, so that can be difficult sometimes.

Thanks everyone. I know every part of the U.S. is different. I went to school in Virginia where everyone was SO nice and caring, and now we live in D.C. where everyone would run you over if they could...so it's getting used to the change of life pace and attitudes! :P

A lot of it is looking forward and embracing all the freedom and opportunity that America is made of.

Looking back isn't going to make it easier.

This is a great country full of good people.

In the end it will be anything you want to make it.

This Christmas we set up skype so my parents could watch their grandkids open their presents. Still isnt the same as being there, but it was nice. One thing that I have found that helps is Facebook, I have only really got into it in the last 6 months, but it allows me to keep up to date with all my friends and family back home and allows them to know what I am up to.
