I always say that if Jesus walked the earth today, people would think he was a potential terrorist - well at least here in the USA they would.

Not totally disagreeing or arguing but what part about Him makes that thought? I don't think he would be thought of as a potential terrorist. People would not like everything he has to say, I know. But perceived as a terrorist? I don't know about that.

Again, not arguing just wondering. :P He was majorly against impurity, but ready to forgive anyone who wanted to change along with preaching to love your neighbor, and since he held the power to forgive He claimed to be God. So a lot of people would think He is crazy for claiming such a thing if they don't believe he was God. Thought of as crazy maybe, but terrorist? I'm thinking out loud. :P

I think she's talking racial profiling. As in Jesus probably looked most like an Arab.

Obviously for many around the world, religion is more about tradition than actually reading and following the beliefs of the religion.

Most religions tend to be conservative, and tradition is VERY important to conservatives....

If that's the only reason staashi meant, then disregard my post. :P

That's the only thing I meant. Jesus probably looked more like Osama bin Laden than the Jesus Christ Superstar guy. :P

Y'shua was Jewish. He never converted to Christianity. He was born in Israel so I suspect he was dark complected like the people of that region. Personally, I don't care what colour he was. His blood was red like anyone else's but unlike everyone else He bled and died willingly for me.

Amen

Latino isn't a proper definition of anything. Amazing it's allowed to be honest. Time to cut the bull over this issue.

Why don't "Latinos" speak Latin?

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Italians are HAWT. whichever colors they come in, Nuff said

My grandmother is Italian and is super white with blonde hair and blue eyes. On the other hand, my great-grandfather was Italian and was dark-skinned with black hair and brown eyes.

So.... it totally depends. But they are all some good lookin' people I have to say.

I thought people from northern Italy were supposed to be lighter skinned than those from the south.

No idea how or if that is true today

Those from the northern borders (Switzerland and Austria and France) many times tend to have the Germanic and French physical features mixed in. However, the Southern part of Italy is much poorer so many South Italians moved to the north to work in the industry. This mixing has blended the society. The southern Italians have the darker complexion (especially in the case of Sicily) due to the influence of the Greeks, Byzantine, Islamic, Normans and Spanish, all of which combined to add to the cultural mix...

There is even Nordic bloodlines with red hair and blue eyes in Sicily.

However, generally speaking you are more likely to find light skinned/eyed Italians in the North, especially near the borders...

I am certain that at some point Jesus was "lightened" to make him and the story more relatable to the Anglo masses... Kinda like Michael Jackson...

 You hit the nail on the head. The artistic depictions of Jesus from Western Europe have Him looking much different from the Byzantine Jesus:

(I think this is from 4th Century A.D.)
