I don't know exactly how to word this...so here goes. :<

When I was younger about 12, I was an EXTREMELY emotional and dramatic kid. Due to my ignorance I have a really...noticeable cut on my arm, self explainitory (not my wrist, closer to my elbow). After a stern talking to, I quickly dropped the behavior. I've been great ever seen...so am I worrying over nothing or is this something that could cause grounds for a denial? ):

And does anyone have any information, can relate, was in this situation?

Thank you >_<!

You cut yourself after you dropped a knife on accident.

Honestly, I'm not sure what you should say. :\ It could go either way, really, which is unfortunate.

That could work, I've done it before, I have a smaller...non inflicted cut on the same arm because this meat I was trying to cut decided to be difficult -_-! I'm a sloppy cooker with a knife.

But I'd rather be honest, of course. =[

I remember a post a few weeks back on the CDN forum about someone with the same concern, but now I can't find it! ):

Everyone in my family knows, my husband knows. It's not a big deal to us because to them, it was just apart of growing up. I'm still hoping to hear if anyone else knows though. :<

I'm not sure if this will help you or not but I recall this situation from a poster last year. Here is her review of her medical which discusses her particular issues. Good luck.

Wow, thank you so much. This is just what I needed. Thank you so much again.

I won't have a doctors note though, hopefully that will be alright.

No problem; I'm sure you will be fine even without the note. Considering the position of your scar being near your elbow they may not even pursue the matter and just assume it was a childhood injury of some sort. I found the actual physical portion of the exam very quick and superficial. As a matter of fact I have a large, noticeable "bump" on my shoulder ( I have had it checked and it is a benign growth) and it wasn't even noticed.

Hm...well, I have a police letter from the Chief of Police of Palm Bay regarding the incident that made me act out. So maybe I'll use that. And I'll go see a doctor and see if they can do anything for me. Thank you so much everyone. :)!

I have significant scarring on my arm from dumb childhood. It was never investigated and no questions were never asked. And the lady even used that arm to try and draw blood. Go figure that she had to do it 5 times cause the needle wouldn't hit a vein. Rubbed up and down my arm and even got another nurse. LOL

Nothing said. We do stupid ###### as kids. =)

I am also facing my interview in January with cut marks on my arm. Sixteen years ago I cut myself and ended up in the hospital for a month. I don't remember doing it or much of my stay in the hopital. I am not sure how it will go at the medical. I have all the records from my hospital stay, but if I start getting asked a lot of questions, it is going to sound pretty lame when I answer, I don't remember. I have not had any self harming behaviors since and I think as I read the hospital records that I was diagnosed with post pardum depression.

Does anyone know how much it costs in Canada if you are referred for a phsychiatric evalution?
