Hello... so I just went to the Montreal Consulate website and I saw few numbers there. Did they always have phone numbers on the site that you could call. Bc I swear they never did... has anyone called the number listed and spoke to someone about anything.

I sent my passport back after I was approved for my visa since I wanted to cross the border one time before I actually crossed for good and I still havent received it back yet. I sent it back Nov 30. I am really hoping to get it back before Christmas. I have been emailing them but no response, so just wondering about this phone number I saw.

Anyone used it and got answers????

If you read on the Montreal embassy page here, they don't answer the phones anymore. They don't even hardly answer emails. But maybe it's changed and they've decided to start answering phones again, I'm not sure. I haven't tried to call them.

Have you tried calling DOS?

Good luck!!! :)

They're like the Santa Claus of the government world. They know every step. Since my case hit NVC I started calling them and they could tell me the exact days when things were sent and received. They'd more than likely know if your passport has been sent back to you or if it's ever been received by Montreal. I'd say it's worth a shot.

If you sent your passport to Montreal, then DOS would not have any information for you.

Are you putting your case number on the subject line? How about "URGENT!!"

I'm not going to say "I told you so", because I didn't. :P ,but often others here have asked about this same thing, and I know we've advised that sometimes we've heard that the Consulate will place the visa in the passport after your approval if you mail it in. I wondered however if it would be a hassle and a long wait afterwards. I'm so sorry that you're having to wait like this so close to Christmas! I'll mention your posting when others have this same question now, because I don't know whether it would be worth it!

Hope you hear something very soon!

There isn't a phone number to the Embassy, you will only get a call center for them and it'll cost you just under $2 per minute.

I hope that you get your visa soon.
