I called embassy today and Packet 3 was mailed on July 18th. I'm so excited. I know we don't have to wait for packet to get to the mailbox. In Juarez you can just go as long as packet beens mailed but: I have two questions though for anyone who has gone thru Juarez.

1) How long from date it was mailed did it take for packet to get to address in US and address in Mexico?

2) Do you feel it is necessary to go to the interview with my fiance? I know I can't go with him into consulate for interview but if anything goes wrong I want to be there. I have ability to go but don't want to waste money or vacation days if it won't do any good. Not sure what to do?

Thanks for your help!

HI MY FIANCEE WAS THE ONE WHO GOT THE PACKET, LIKE TWO WEEKS AFTER WE KNEW THE CONSULATE SENT IT. I NEVER GOT IT.

IT IS NOT NECESSARY THAT U ARE THERE BUT ITWAS REALLY NICE TO KNOW MY LOVE WAS OUTSIDE ;)

I received packet 3 in the US about 3 weeks after it was sent out. It was never received in mexico. It is not necessary for the US citizen to go to Juarez, but i did go because i did not want my fiancee going to Juarez alone. You will not be let into the building, but i have heard of some cases where the person being interviewed was sent out to get their partner. If you have a clear cut case and all the evidence they require, you should not need to go.

09/20/05 I-129F Sent to VSC

1) I have no idea when they sent it, but I received it about 3 weeks after the Consulate received everything from the NVC. It should only take 2-3 days from the time it leaves the Consulate until it reached the U.S.C. My fiancee in Mexico never received it.

2) I went and I'm glad I did, even though I couldn't go in the Consulate. it is a stressful time and always good to have your sweetie with you for moral support:) If it is a serious hardship though I wouldn't go.

Hi JessiPooh, we're also waiting for a k-3 visa interview. Your timeline doesn't say when your petition left the NVC. Do you know when? Do you also know when it arrived at Juarez? It seems like to took 6 months to get an interview. I check other couple's K3 timelines from Mexico and it only took 2-3 months. Well, good luck!!!
