hi everyone i have interview coming up this week and i stopped working back in October this year . i already made up my mind with regards to my work cause early this year i was going to start up my own business and when my petition was approved i decided not to proceed further more cause i will need money for my process and if i got approve i have no one to take care of my business so i decided to concentrate on my k-1 process .What i want to ask is do you think me being unemployed it will affect my chances at the interview .thank your

if your the petitioner you will need a co-sponcer if you are the beneficiary then working or not doesnt matter?

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

It shouldn't. The embassy likely does not care about your legal employment or lack thereof. My fiancee (now wife) quit her job about 3 months before she was approved as well so she could spend more time with her parents before she left. It didn't cause us any problems and she was never asked about it.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)
