I haven't changed my habits at all. If I want to go somewhere, I hop in the car and go. If I ride my bike, it's because I want some exercise and fresh air, not because Al Gore said I should. If I take the train into NYC, it's because I don't want to deal with parking. If I don't go somewhere far by car due to thoughts of gasoline consumption, it's only because I'm cheap and hate seeing that sumbitch at the filling station tick up to the better part of $40 bucks for a top-off. If I found a good airfare to a place I wanted to go, I'd go- and the 'carbon footprint' of the airplane wouldn't even cross my mind. If the wine from Australia is a better deal than the wine from California, I buy it.

I make a pretty good effort to recycle (even though 'recycling' is a volatile market and half that ###### ends up in a landfill much of the time anyway when scrap aluminum drops below $50 bucks a ton or whatever) , but I always have. Nothing to do with all the current hype.

You?

For Christmas last year, I bought an artificial tree and some LED lights.

Both my cars are 4 cyl. and get at least 30mpg.

Both my computers at home are laptops.

I have a front loading clothes washer.

I switched most of my lights to fluorescent or LED.

I have 2 LED flashlights that are crank driven.

We don't have central AC or heating, but use portable, room units.

The one thing that kills me is that where we live, they don't do any recycling. Our local church has curb-side recycling one Saturday every month so we try to that, but it's hard to store it all on our balcony because the HOA would be all over us if they found out.

I've been pretty bad when it comes to bags at the stores. We bought some reusable ones, but we forget to bring them. We take the plastic ones back for recycling, but man they sure build up fast.

I should have added: I've been recycling since middle school, since getting a driver's license I've driven only if walking or public transportation or carpooling wasn't an option, I take steps to make my living space as energy-efficient as possible, saving me money anyway.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I recycle.

And try and switch off the lights when they're not needed.

I've been into conservation for years, so the latest fads aren't anything new to me. Using less means that you spend less. It leaves money for other pursuits. It is mutually beneficial. I live in a big city that has recycling. It's not so difficult to go the extra mile to recycle rather than to just toss it in the garbage. However, I don't toss and turn at night worrying whether I do enough. I do my part as best as I can. There is only one Earth. If we screw it up there is nowhere else to go.

I dont do much, because I wonder how much "warming" is actually happening. The scientists cant get their story straight.

What I do not do, is recycle. It's bad. The US takes up all these efforts to recycle, sending out a huge truck guzzling gas like crazy to pick up the items, then another big truck guzzling to take them from a sorting center to a compactor center, and another truck to load up the stuff onto a container ship to CHINA. The Chinese recycle the items and sell them back to the USA for a million percent profit. All the gas guzzling, container ships and other bad carbon footprint items that need to occur to recycle a stupid water bottle are rediculous. Perhaps the part that ticks me off the most, is China selling us back our trash. We have plenty enough of their items in each and every store, let them keep the trash.

I rarely use my air conditioner, because I don't want a high electricity bill.

I drive as little as possible (only 2.5 miles to work), because I don't like traffic or driving. Waiting for teleportation to become the norm.

I like those reusable shopping bags because they carry more.

I switched from bottled water to a Brita filter because it's cheaper.
