Just starting out the journey and wanting to know the typical contents of a packet 3 that will come out from the Vancouver Canada Consulate?

Thought it would be good to know so we can prepare ahead of time.

The goal being to shorten the time between receiving the packet and being able to send it back quickly to shorten the time waiting for an interview date.

Any help/experience would be appreciated!

Hi BriCar and welcome,

A copy of the Pk 3 can be found on the VJ Wiki Canada page here:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/..._.28Packet_4.29

(lots of good information on that page in general)

That is exactly what I was looking for!

Because of people like you and this website this visa journey is becoming a less bumpy ride.

The information you provided really helps keep the "blind corners" down to a minimum.

I just received "packet 3" from the Vancouver consulate today. It literally says that I must download the instructions from:

http://vancouver.usconsulate.gov/content/v...packet3k1k3.pdf

It instructs me to print, read and follow all of the instructions very carefully.

Hope this helps! :)

I was actually really disappointed when I received packet 3 today, mostly because I could have started all the stuff last week after I found out the consulate had our petition and was mailing us packet 3 ... I had no idea it was all available online! Oh well, serves me right for not doing my research and it's not like a couple of days will hurt that much :)

WOW what a drag!!

What happened to you is exactly what I was trying to avoid and thanks to the members on this site that link to the packet 3 download will save some time.

Maybe it's a step/link that could be worked into the Visa Journey Guide at some point??
