Rejected i-485, EAD and Affidavit of support......help!!!!!!

Hi, my spouse and i recently sent our i-130 with supporting documents and the i-485, EAD and Affidavit of Support to USCIS. All docs were sent express to the chicago offices listed on the uscis website. we recieved a rejection notice for the i-485, i-864, and i-765 stating they cant see a priority date for me and to resubmit with original i-130.

my questions are:,

a) Do we wait until we get NOA for the i-130 then resubmit the I-485 packet? (from reading posts here i gather the forms should all have gone in one envelope which they didn't, as mentioned we sent paperwork to express addresses by fedex on the website.)

B) do we have to do a whole new i-485,i-765,i-864 or do we send the ones sent back to us with a letter explaining that the petitions were supposed to be filed concurrently?Should i send it to the same express address?

c) what in peoples experience have been the wait times for i-797 for the i-130?

d) would the local office be of any help here or do we just cross our fingers and wait?My husband is a USC and i was under the impression that certain categories qualify an instant visa number, if this is so do we have to wait until the i-130 is approved/denied or can we send the i-797 with the i-485 packet stating the i-130 is pending?

I am very confused as to the whole process please share your experiences or knowledge, we really appreciate it.All this is very recent as we sent the paperwork on 12/03/2009 and reply was sent on 12/09/09.

On what visa did you enter the US?

I think your problem is that you didn't send everything together the way you should have. Without the I130 they have nothing to base your I485 on. I think you should just resubmit everything all together, but maybe someone else here will have a better answer or know more.
