Embassy Interview for I-130

Hey

If a person pursues the I-130 instead of the I-129F, is the wait time at the embassy and the interview the same as it would be with the I-129F?

It seems that many are getting their I-130 petitions approved very quickly, many withing 3 months, then elect to drop the I-129F.

I know that at the US Embassy in Manila, it takes about 4 months for them to schedule an interview after they receive the I-129F documents.

If a person drops the I-129F and instead goes forward with the I-130, is the wait at the US embassy in Manila still about 4 months, and is the interview still the same?

If you go to Immigration Timelinesand go either to K3 or CR-1 // IR-1 you'll see the experiences of other members in Phillipines. I noticed that K-3 once received by the Embassy it takes 4 months for the interview date and with CR-1 about 1 month;however , I-130 takes between 2 to 3 months at NVC if you follow James Short Cuts
