Hoping for the same! Let's go, Vermont!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Lohninck....what's up with VSC?? You want me to call them for you and get on their case???

Hehe, I would love that! I have a letter ready to be sent to the Congressman and Senator of NJ if need be, but I'm going to give them a bit more time before I start feeling too left out of the Jan NOA2 group. I'm sure people will get on my butt about it like they did for Alan but I don't care, I'm impatient, it's painful not knowing when I'll see my fiance, and I shouldn't have to deal with it just cos some jerk in Vermont is lazy and hasn't worked on my case. Maybe if we start a mob it'll scare them into action.

Hi, you should definitely call the office of your Congressman; They exist to serve constituents. This is especially true during a rough election year.

They will ask you to fax, or mail, a letter with the names and ages for you and your sweetie. Also include the receipt number from your NOA1. Then simply ask if they can inquire about the status, and reason for delay, of your application. It is worth the effort.

I'd fire those letters off to the congressman/senator. It doesn't cost you anything but a stamp, doesn't hurt your case at all, and those actions do have a way of putting a little fire under the butts of lazy workers. And...no one will give you a hard time about that here.....we got your back..

Thank you all so much for the support, and a very special thank you to Tim & Olga, as Tim offered to write the letter for me and made it look all professional and much better than I could have done. I would have just ranted and raved for pages and barely get my point across. I'll be faxing it either today or Monday. VJ always surprises me with its kindness. (L)

You all get an honorary invitation to our wedding! Open bar! ;)
