Hang in y'all, I mailed mine on 1-24-10, just got my text and email from VSC, approved! Things are going to get crazy from here on in..... Good luck to all, and many thanks to VJ, and to all of you! Today is a happy day! Now if we can get past Juarez, we home free.

Awesome news! Congrats!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Wonderful news! Be prepared for the NVC news to be a bit slow. My NVC letter is dated 5/1, and the case number is still not in their automated system. I sent an email to day, requesting status. Hopefully, you will sail through the NVC processing. :)

Tim FYI, the K1 Visa doesn't get input into the NVC automated voice response. You have to call and wait for a CSR and ask for status. Something about the K1's not staying at NVC long enough for them to bother putting it into their AVR. Good luck.

Ah! That is a very handy piece of information! So, I should be patient, and wait for an operator! Thank you!

Johnny, you were right on target. I just spoke with the NVC, and they said my file was sent to Moscow on 4/30. There was an extra bit of interesting information: The NVC sends files electronically, in advance of mailing the documents. So, this means that applications are in queue at the Embassy immediately!

Now, when I call Olga, I can be like a kid in the back seat of a car on a long trip...."Is it there yet? Is it there yet?"

Just got ours at 6:30 a.m. Vermont time, via text. Wahoooooo!

I should note that I called my congressman just a few days ago, and the visa specialist on staff called the VSC get some information for us. We were told someone had been assigned to our case and that we could expect an update in 30-60 days. Less than a week later, voila! No way to know if the call was what did it, but either way, that's some coincidence!

Now we'll study up on the next set of forms. It's all happening! (L)

Mailed K1 packet to Vermont Service Center: 1/20/2010

Received NOA 1: 1/25/2010

Got engaged: 1/31/2010

Received NOA 2: 5/13/2010

Hey Mark!

Good idea. When I spoke with Olga earlier, I asked her, "Is it there yet?" he he he... It would be great if I could tell her the date. :)
