A LPR or a USC may act as a joint sponsor. They will file an I-864 along with the primary sponsor.

She/he must make above the required poverty guidelines for the household size pertinent to them and be able to provide documentation supporting it.

Please read the I-864 carefully.

Hi,

I'm new around here and this is my first posting.

Yes she can. Anyone who is a LPR or a USC can be a sponsor or joint sponsor. I'm a LPR. My joint sponsor was a friend and later, I was my brother's joint sponsor as a LPR. :star:

My husband will be sponsoring my brother. He is married to a US citizen. My question is does my husband put my brothers wife as dependent or does he put her anywhere in application? I know she still has to file I-864 and my husband is joint sponsor. Where it asks for household size I know he puts himself, myself, and my brother. But what about wife? Will household size be 3 or 4?
