This is what I know we have to send:

• BARCODED Cover Sheet (to be printed from web when your status is PAID online for AOS bill)

• Your OWN cover sheet listing what documents are in the package, so they're easy for the reviewer to locate - you dont have to, but it would be good

• Completed I-864 signed - from you and your joint-sponsor

• Original Employment Letter - from you and your joint-sponsor

• Most recent tax return (all forms)

• Copy of PAY STUBS for current year (showing how much money you have made year to date)

• Last 3 years Tax transcripts, W-2 and/or 1099 (any source of income)

• SPONSOR: I-864 + all above documents for sponsor. Each sponsor that lives in the same household as the petitioner, should use I-864a, instead of I-864

• Make 1 extra copies of this package.

Also, send a copy of your birth certificate or passport to prove citizenship. (from joint sponsor as well)

WOW girl!!! gotta say it!!! Perhaps you should take the advice of others and turn off the computer and really concentrate on filling this out as best you can... Many of the questions are easily answered with a bit of LOOKING and READING the directions... I believe that everyone has spoon fed you the answers and have been very painfully detailed but it is time to do it for yourself... THEN, if you are still stuck, ask for questions... I am not sure how necessary it is to ask each question here one by one...

I am so sorry, it is just really frustrating when people do not even take the time to read the guides provided and the instructions and try it first themselves before asking for clarification!!! Just drives me batty!!!

OP; I have read through the instructions given by everyone and I think they have given quite a bit of info and maybe you should print out a few copies of the form and do practice one as others have suggested and see how you do. If you dont try to do some of this on your own, you will never learn... Just my $.02 cents

Well Excuse me for asking question's Last time i checked this was a place to ask questions and not get your head bitten off. I HAVE read the Packet thank you very much and i was just making sure by asking questions so i wont bet a RFE! If you have a problem with my questions and you did not want to answer Then DON'T click on my question! Its as easy as that! The fact that you took time out and wrote All that just to be rude is very Mean! Don't worry i will no longer post here so you can rest your mind. If i have any questions i will call NVC.

It's very rude of you. This is the place to come and ask other people questions who have been threw the same things and get advice! I was kind in all my posts and said several time's that im sorry for all the questions. But Whatever I should have known better then post here. There are too many Mean people in This world. You can rest you wont be hearing any of my questions any more.

Hey--calm down. The I-864 form is a little complicated. But read through the instructions/form once. Twice. Thrice. And you'll get it. Most of your questions are answered in the instructions.

Read the guides. And the sample I-864 on VJ. Might help clarify any other issues.

Sorry if I pissed you off but My point was this... Not just to you, but as a general courtesy; The VJ has hundreds of pages of wiki information and step by step instructions on how to do things as well as all the past threads which consisted of the very same questions... When you are having to complete something, I believe it best to FIRST read all the previous documentation on the subjects and the instructions...

The very NICE people here on VJ have done a wonderful job in listing instructions and answering questions with regards to filling out the 864, I hate thinking that everyone who posted these answers and took their valuable time in assembeling these help packages and wiki pages had wasted their time when members do not bother to do the research to perhaps find the answers first THEMSELVES then, if there are still doubts, by all means as someone here to clarify.

What I do not agree with and what really ticks me off is when a member does not even bother to try to figure it out for themselves or look up the information and asks each question one by one on the forms they are filling out. It is not fair to everyone else as they are doing the work for them... In this thread alone there were 18 questions and in looking at the 864, they were pretty much line by line... DO first THEN ask if you are still in doubt....

My husband and the kids use a similar tactic, they ask question after question after question until finally in exhaustion someone says "nevermind, here give it to me, let me do it"... However doing this is not productive to them. Part of the pride in doing things yourself is the fact that you DO them yourself or at least give a full effort. But to me, asking questions that are easily able to be looked up in the search function and in past threads is really a waste and doing a disservice to the person who's responsibility it is to do these forms. part of this process is learning.

I do not blame people for getting frustrated, it's like why did anyone bother to write these guides and post tips and answer others' questions if nobody can even take a moment to look up the past info and try to fill out the forms first??? Part of being an adult and married is taking responsibility for your household and loved ones and paperwork is a big part of that world...

Sorry to go off like this, and sorry to piss anybody off..... Are these forms and the process confusing, OF course, but that is why so many poeple write all of these guides and info to help you through...

As many of you know me, I will definetly give help, but only if I believe that the person asking is actually trying to figure it out and stuck, not being lazy.... When you fill out a form, do a practice page, answer what you can and look up what you have questions on. Circle any questions you might have THEN, if you cannot find the answers or figure it out or have doubts by all means, there are plenty of people who can give you the answers and reassurance you might need. But for the love of Betsy... At least give it a try first!!!

So if you feel that you cannot post anymore and your feelings are hurt sorry, but so are the feelings of those who worked their a$$es off to put together these guides that nobody reads...
