Hello! How are you all?????

I have just one quick question.

For the I-134 it asks for annual salary. Here is where the problem comes in. My recent income tax shows that I made only 7grand from working until may of 2008 here in america.(reason being I went back to the philippines and stayed there for about 11months.

Currently, I am working now at Frys Electronics, with an hourly wage of 11/hour, and I work 37.50 hours per week. I don't know what "numbers" I should state on the question.

Please any advices or helpful tips I would gladly appreciate it.! Thank you very much for all your help!!

"So many nights I'm away from you...

are you sittin' at home, while i'm feeling so lonely...

can't understand why I feel for you...

Could I be here to love? cuz' its drivin' me crazy...

.....you're far away...." (0_O)

annual is the total salary for the year before taxes. So the total amount you would make in 1 year before subtraction for taxes.

If you are working full-time - you can calculate your annual salary as : hourly rate X 2080 hours/year = annual salary (or $22,800 using your numbers). This is likely how the Embassy/Consulate would calculate it. Also, they will primarily base your qualifications on your current salary so your previous (2008) tax return will only play a small role (if at all) in their decision. (Technically annual salary is what you would/did enter on Line 22 on a 1040 Tax Return form if you worked the entire year.)

ya, people get tripped up with the different between:

1) accrued salary vs

2) annual salary.

Rarely the same thing.

If have employment letter, then the annual salary amount is listed, there.

Good luck, both of you !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
