Did you do CFO seminar already? You need the sticker to go out of Philippines.

As for questions, standard... like name, address, age. If you're lucky no question at all.

bring your school records for future employment and other work related papers that you have from your Philippine employer.

Good luck and congrats!

-No, you don't need to bring the all the documents that you'd prepared in K1. You need to bring your visa packet, passport with CFO sticker, birth certificate, the immunization record from SLEC and NOA2.

2.) What are some possible questions to be asked at the POE??? Is the LAX Immigration personnel very strict??Could u please share ur experience here? and how long did it go before u finally get through??

-My port of entry was in LAX. The immigration officer was asking me one question. He just asked me " How's my trip?" :D . He just reminded me that I have to get married within 90days. But the possible questions are like these, "what's the name of your fiance? and his complete address?"

So much thanks and appreciation

LAX POE was a piece of cake. Took about 5 min. No waiting in line because they sent us down to the very last booth and let us go through together. The POE officer was married to a Filipina and was going through the immigration process, and had just recieved an RFE in the mail for something lacking in her paperwork. I was suprised since he see's immigration packets everyday. He asked my wife one question: Where is your province? He asked me about 5 questions all about my favorite dive spots in the RP. Then wished us good luck.

in my case (seattle was my POE), the officer just asked me for 1 pix w/c he attached to the docs in the brown sealed envelope. the queue was long and it tool me 2 hours to clear immigration. not much question really but he was very nice.

Hello Daisy!

I arrived at LAX on October 27 this year. That was a pleasant experience although I traveled alone. Anyway, the immigration officer only opened the sealed envelope, checked my passport, attached the I-94, asked me where I am going to stay while in the U.S. and reminded me about getting married within 90 days. That was less than 5 minutes. No birth certificate, clearance, or any additional document was asked. There were no other questions and no queue either. As easy as that, the next thing was I went to claim my luggage and then saw my handsome fiance waiting to bring me out of the airport.

Just a few reminders:

It's quite cold in L.A. although there's no snow. Make sure you wear really comfy shoes and thick socks. When you leave the Philippines to board the plane, wear sneakers or the like. I had my jogging pants on, not jeans, from Manila to Hongkong to L.A. If you could get gloves and a headgear to supplement your jacket, do so. Keep your jacket ready. Use lip balm or chapstick. Have a small container with lotion in your handcarry in case your hand gets dry.

BTW, do you have any updates about Kirsteen? I sent her a PM here but there was no reply. The last time I heard of her was when she passed her interview.

Just enjoy the whole experience whether your fiance will be traveling with you or not.

Hakuna matata.

God bless us all.
